If you use Outlook to check and manage your email, you can easily use it to check your Gmail account as well. You can set up your Gmail account to allow you to synchronize email across multiple machines using email clients instead of a browser.
We will show you how to use IMAP in your Gmail account so you can synchronize your Gmail account across multiple machines, and then how to add your Gmail account to Outlook 2007.
Add Your Gmail Account to Outlook 2007
Login to your Google Cloud E-mail account by typing in mail.google.com in your web browser.
Click the Settings button in the upper, right corner of the gmail inbox window and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
On the Settings screen, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Scroll down to the IMAP Access section and select Enable IMAP.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
You will also need to enable the Google option to Allow Less Secure Apps.

Once signed in, select "Turn on" to allow less secure apps (Outlook and Thunderbird)
Now, launch Outlook 2007, go to the Tools menu, then click on Account Settings.
Under the E-mail tab, click New.
Now, select the Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP radio button, then click Next.
Check the box that says Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next.
Select the Internet E-mail radio button, then click Next.
Now, enter your information.
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
User Name: Your GFW email
Password: Your GFW password
Click the More Settings button, select the Outgoing Server tab, then check the box that says My outgoing server requires authentication and leave the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button selected.
Next, click the Advanced tab and input the following (note; please update the encrypted connection Before the server port number):
Incoming Server encrypted connection: SSL
Incoming Server: 993
Outgoing Server encrypted connection: TLS
Outgoing Server: 587
Click OK to save your settings, then click the Test Account Settings button in order to verify that your settings are properly configured.
If your settings are valid, you will see a message that says Congratulations! All tests completed successfully. Your Google Cloud email is now ready to use with Outlook!
